Story:

Fourteen years ago, a tragedy occurred when dance champion Serene Williams died falling from a lift in a dance performance. Now, Serene's daughter Angie (ARZAMENDI) finds herself irresistibly drawn back to the dance world when she reunites with Darren (HENNIGAN). Darren and Angie decide to follow in Serene's path and begin training as competitors, under the tutelage of Serene's protege Erica (BURKHART). All three dancers soon find themselves tangled in a web of past lies, broken relationships, and buried secrets while they struggle to embrace the passion for life, dance, and joy that they once so admired in Serene.

This film is dedicated to SF-based dancer Angie Major.

Davis Film Festival

IN THE WINGS showed at the Davis Film Festival in Davis, CA.  The film was an audience favorite and received high praise by many viewers who purchased autographed copies of the film.  Lead Actress Erin Burkhart and Director Sarah Barbulesco were present to sign the first batch of IN THE WINGS DVDs.
